PBI Indices

Introduction

Data as of 2025-01-21

The Private Banking Indices (PBI) were launched by Fundo in 2022 to provide the investment community with an independent benchmark for the performance of the mandates managed by their asset managers.

They are available in four reference currencies and each family consists of three indices with different risk levels. The same four underlying indices are used to calculate the performance of indices that are members of the same family, with only their proportions in the index composition changing. The components of each index are segregated into bonds and equities on the one hand and domestic and foreign securities on the other.

We deliberately decided to restrict our choice of asset classes to be included in the indices to well-established mainstream investment universes for which well-documented daily times series are available. We believe that these universes have been and continue to be the main drivers of the risk profile and performance of private banking portfolios.

The indices are rebalanced quarterly to their respective reference weights and have been recalculated since the beginning of 2001.
